Accounting Consultant

Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities:

Accounting Consultants work in direct need of their services for our clients, which consist of accounting work for departments within their organizations; duties may pertain to internal controls, periodic reporting, and financial analysis, to name a few. DMG consultants help to improve all processes within financial departments using their extensive knowledge, as well as research and explore these processes to identify and solve problems.

DMG consultants create reports based on their findings and present them to management or stakeholders. They research the industry, competitors, and profits to identify new areas of interest to the company, as well as develop new tasks and projects for finance departments and improve on past successes in every way possible.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Computing taxes which are owed by the company and preparing of tax returns in order to ensure that the company is making its tax payments on time
  • Dealing with different types of tax requirements and analyzing of budgets.
  • Modifying and maintaining different accounting and record keeping systems with the help of computer technology.
  • Advising the management board about financial issues which are meant to encourage savings of the company.
  • Investigating the reasons of bankruptcies if any and avoiding the cropping up of such situations in the future.
  • Advising the clients regarding matters of future investments, different types of tax plans and on other types of financial matters.
  • Help companies make sure their financial reporting methods meet regulatory requirements.
  • Advise company management during budget preparation and decisions requiring financial analysis.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Exceptional mathematical skills.
  • Strong communication skills­ both written and oral.
  • Critical thinking ability

  • Responsible and analytical
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, finance, or any related field of study.
  • MAcc or CPA preferred
  • 5+ years of experience

Compensation

Salary Range: $30,000 ­ $45,000 plus bonus D.O.E.
